David J Vickress

David Vickress is a Wire Rope and Lifting Gear global training professional.

He is a UK citizen and founder/director of PT Wire Rope Training and Consultancy and is a Chartered Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) with 35 years’ experience.

David over the past 20 years, has specifically concentrated his efforts on wire rope and lifting gear related programs and has developed training materials for Bridon International Ltd. in UK, McDermott in the USA, Bridgeport in Canada, Carl Stahl GmbH in Germany, and PT Rigspek Perkasa in Indonesia.

In 1991 David joined Bridon International, a wire rope manufacturing company and, based on his training qualifications and experience he was involved in the development of the world renowned Wire Rope Examiners Course.

As a Senior Associate of the Reliability Institute David will develop our wire rope and lifting gear training modules and working to certify Wire Rope Inspectors.

Ian knight

Ian Knight has over 45 years experience working in the industrial market place at all levels and has a broad knowledge in industrial maintenance and reliability. He has worked for two major bearing companies for a total of 35 years of his working career. He has a wide range of experience in sales, service and various management positions. 


In 1989, he transferred to Europe to join the newly formed SKF Condition Monitoring organization where he held positions including Manager Trouble Free Operation, Marketing Manager SKF Maintenance Products and was one of the founding members in the creation of the SKF Service organization.  


In 2003 he started his own company Enluse BV located in The Netherlands specializing in lubrication reliability and the supply of products to support global best practices.  He is a co-partner in The Reliability Institute.
